# Sign up and sign in

> Create your Audity account, sign in, and understand what happens on your first login.

Audity uses [Clerk](https://clerk.com) for authentication. You do not need to manage passwords separately, Clerk handles identity, sessions, and multi-factor authentication on your behalf.

## Create an account

1. Go to [app.auditynow.com](https://app.auditynow.com) and click **Sign up**.
2. Enter your email address and choose a password, or continue with a supported social provider (Google, etc.).
3. Verify your email address when prompted.
4. Clerk creates your account and redirects you into the Audity onboarding flow.

## Sign in to an existing account

1. Go to [app.auditynow.com/sign-in](https://app.auditynow.com/sign-in).
2. Enter your credentials or use the same social provider you signed up with.
3. Complete any multi-factor challenge if you have MFA enabled on your Clerk account.

## What to expect on first login

After your account is created, Audity redirects you to the **onboarding flow**, which starts at `/onboarding/subscription`. This is where you:

* Select a plan (Solo, Team, or Enterprise).
* Complete your firm profile before accessing the main dashboard.

You cannot skip the onboarding flow, Audity requires both a plan selection and a completed firm profile before granting access to projects and audits.

<Note>
  If you close your browser mid-onboarding, signing back in resumes from where you left off.
</Note>

## Next step

Once you are signed in, [choose a plan](/guide/get-started/choose-a-plan) to continue onboarding.
