What this is

The interviews step captures qualitative input from stakeholders inside the client organisation, executives, IT leads, operations managers, frontline staff. You enter interview notes or paste in transcripts, and Audity’s AI extracts themes, concerns, and opportunities that feed into the overall analysis. Multiple interviews are synthesised together, surfacing patterns across stakeholder groups.

Before you start

  • Your client profile should include the key contacts you plan to interview. This pre-populates the interviewee list.
  • Gather your interview notes, raw transcripts, or call recordings converted to text.
  • There is no minimum number of interviews required, but at least 2–3 stakeholder perspectives significantly improve analysis quality.

Procedure

  1. Open your project and click Interviews in the lifecycle stepper.
  2. Click Add interview.
  3. Complete the interview record:
    • Interviewee name and role, select from key contacts or type a new name.
    • Interview date, when the conversation took place.
    • Format, structured (question-and-answer), semi-structured, or transcript paste.
  4. Enter the interview content:
    • For structured interviews, work through the pre-built question set and enter answers for each question.
    • For transcript paste, paste the raw text of the conversation into the transcript field.
  5. Click Save interview.
  6. Repeat for each stakeholder interviewed.
  7. Once all interviews are entered, click Analyse interviews. The AI runs extraction across all interviews simultaneously and produces a cross-stakeholder synthesis.
Transcript paste accepts raw, unedited text including filler words and informal language. You do not need to clean up transcripts before pasting.

Limits and gating

  • Interview analysis runs as part of the full AI analysis step. The Analyse interviews action in this step is a pre-analysis extraction that stages data for the main run.
  • Solo plan: Up to 5 interview records per project.
  • Team / Enterprise: Up to 20 (Team) or unlimited (Enterprise) interview records per project.
  • Individual transcript paste fields accept up to ~10,000 words. Longer transcripts should be split across multiple interview records.

Common issues

Interviewee names not pre-populating. Key contacts must be saved in the client profile before they appear in the dropdown. Go back and add them. “Analyse interviews” produces no output. At least one interview record must have content in the transcript or answer fields. Empty records are skipped. Interview content is not reflected in the final analysis. Ensure you clicked Analyse interviews before triggering the full analysis run. If you added new interviews after the full analysis ran, re-run analysis to include them. Character limit exceeded on transcript field. Split the transcript at a natural break point (e.g. a topic change) and create a second interview record for the same interviewee with a label like “Part 2”.
